Ahh--OK.

Sorry--I was just picturing a final version in PDF. I had not thought about editing them.

There are several PDF editors for Linux, though. I'd recommend importing the source .docx file into LibreOffice and see if it saves correctly (Not all docx files do). If it does, then moving over to Linux should be simpler.

Looks like combining Libre Office, Libre Draw, and Qoppa PDF Studio Pro may work for me, albeit not quite as capable or identical output to Windows through Acrobat. But at $139 it is a perfectly reasonable alternative. It remains for me to assure that the Linux product looks the same in Windows but at this point it is certainly worth the price to try it.
