For Warren, the $hit hit the fan long ago. Loved the Spinners, too. Are they rock and roll? I don’t know, but they put out a lot of great music.

Surprised at Warren’s nomination. His best songs weren’t politically correct: Excitable Boy, Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, and Lawyers, Guns, and Money, to name a few.

I was hooked on him in 1979, when I went home with a waitress, while TDY in Northern Germany. Thankfully, she wasn’t with the Russians. Our time together was more in tune with Roxy Music’s “Oh Yeah”. She also loved Dire Straits.
