Biden ‘Efficiency’ Rule Would Ban At Least HALF of Gas Stoves in U.S.

Biden regime had walked back going after gas stoves following fierce political backlash.
Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) even warned the Department of Energy proposal would actually ban 96% of gas stoves.
The Biden administration had walked back its plan to ban gas stoves earlier this month in the wake of fierce backlash.
That led to Andrew Light, DOE assistant secretary for international affairs, assuring Republican lawmakers in a congressional hearing last week that the Biden administration did not want to ban gas stoves.
But the conflicting messages between the Biden team and the DOE’s memo have caused frustration, Daines said.

These tools can’t even get their bans straight. All on purpose, though.
How are you feeling, today? Much better, I hope.
“preserve some market share for gas stoves that have at least one high-input rate burner and continuous cast iron grates, two features that DOE determined are priorities for the public. Both features use a lot of energy.”
I don’t know why continuous cast iron grates take more energy to mold than separate grates. But I do know that getting a pot of water to boil takes the same amount of energy whether you have the flame on high or low. You’re just going to wait around longer for the lower energy/flame.
“the proposed regulation of 1,204 thousand British thermal units (kBtu) of energy use annually.”
To be fair, there would need to be the same standard for electric stoves. They are powered by natural gas being burned in power plants, much of the time. Could be coal also.
But I suppose they don’t need an electric stove regulation because if someone is charging up their EV, they won’t have any electricity left for anything else in their house.
Good to see you back here and thanks for the article. I understand about having to choose between the computer/tablet/phone or pain. It used to be bad on my wrist and arms when I would be typing on a standard computer. I thought everything would be great with the Advent of tablets. But now I’m having different pains! I guess the key is to get up every 10 or 15 minutes and move around. Instead I stay stuck in one position, not good as I’m getting older and that doesn’t work as well as it used to.
IMHO this is done on purpose to confuse the issue and they can point out and claim both sides.
