Texas could lose 1,800-acre state park to development after 45 years

Texas is on the verge of losing a massive state park that has been open to the public for nearly 50 years. The private landowner of Fairfield Lake State Park, about 100 miles southeast of Dallas-Fort Worth, plans to sell the property to a developer, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle.
