Illinois Cook County prosecutors have dropped state sex-crime charges against singer Robert Sylvester Kelly, known as R. Kelly.
The charges that have been dropped are aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse counts involving four accusers, three of them minors.
On Monday, County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx said that they are being dropped in part because of the prison sentences he is already facing for his federal convictions. Kelly had been charged in federal courts in New York and Chicago after Foxx’s office filed charges in 2019.

I don’t think it is that unusual for a state prosecutor to not proceed with charges when the defendant has already been slammed in federal court or in another state. Also, the victims often times are reluctant to go to trial if they can avoid it. But, I do agree with you that Foxx is a Soros lackey who has made Chicago less safe (if that is possible).
Glad I'm old enough to remember Chicago when it was a far better place. At least there are good memories.
This is not uncommon at all. Once the feds mkve in, any pending state charges are almost always dropped. Nothing to see here.
My wife is from Chicago. Her family tells me that years ago, it was perfectly safe to walk the streets anytime. My, how things have changed.
