It was the opposite for me. I’m the wife who acquiesced because of my husband and children, and mostly, because I desired to hold my first grandson, who was born shortly after the shots were available. I was absolutely emotionally coerced into having the first two shots. (I refuse to call them vaccines; they are not.)
In your case, I would be making sure that the inheritance bypassed the child involved, and went directly to the grandchildren.
