Semi-auto 12 gauge are just crazy. I fired one at my last famfire at the local range. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who has never shot a basic pump 12 gauge. They’re a little tricky.
Didn’t know there were fully auto 12 gauge shotguns. What fun that would be if you have the arms and shoulders for it.
I have shot A full Auto USAS-12. And I have owned the semi version. Very similar to the aa-12
My take aways..
VERY HEAVY.
on FA.. it is a LOT of fun. Flash and noise.
On semi.. it is HEAVY.
bottom line. a 12g is a 12g is a 12g. the weight helps absorb quite a bit of recoil. But, there are better Shotties out there. I’d go with a Benelli. You lose capacity, yes. but, as far as functional, reliable and FAST. the Benellis are far better.
I tried to get my girl to by a 20 gauge or even a 410 for home defense.
She went with a 12 gauge.
Took it out and fired it.
Bent her finger on the trigger guard
Maybe cracked it.
Now she will not touch it
Back in the 1950s my dad bought a brand new Belgium Browning Semi Auto 12 gauge shotgun. He used it for goose hunting.
He had to send it back to the factory because every once in awhile it would fir off 2 or 3 shells in succession.
My younger brother had that gun until it was lost in a tragic boating accident.
Many years ago, my brother picked up a Remington 1100.
We used to say he can miss with 5 shots just as fast as we could miss with 2...
