Agreed. I hold a JD, and it’s considered bad form, and literally no one does it, to refer to oneself as a doctor. Ph.D, I have no problem with the Edson calling themselves Dr. But an Ed.D is the humblest of doctorates and using it—- or having the media insist it be used as to you—- is just pretentious

A Ed.D is usually called ‘Professor’ if they teach.

JD are called... no, I won’t say it

I have many phds in my social circle and work w MDs. The PhDs don’t insist on being called doctor.

Kelly is not right on this one. There are many many things she could slam Jill Biden for and should

Also to bring to people’s minds that a phd is low. That’s terrible.

Hubby has a PhD. He doesn’t like to be called “doctor”. Says one woman he knew with an EdD....wrote her paper on “how to arrange a parking lot”. Insisted she be addressed as “doctor”. 🙄😆
