I've often said this was the issue with Obama. It never mattered where he was born anyway since his mother was a U.S. citizen (thus making Obama a natural born citizen).

By the way, I'm the same about anchor babies. Even if they're born here that doesn't make them U.S. citizens (if their parents weren't U.S. citizens).

That doesn’t make them ‘natural born’... with the 14th amendment they are still ‘native born’ citizens... which is why the Constitution would need amending to get rid of ‘anchor babies.’

The exclusions listed above also apply to Kamala Harris.. neither of her parents were citizens when she was born.

Under the Immigration Act in effect at the time, bH0’s mother hadn’t lived in a State for the 5 years prior to his birth (if indeed he was born in Hawaii).

Actually, the rule in the 18th century was that both parents must be citizens or subjects and must be married.

Otherwise, the bastard offspring of sailors visiting ports or Kenyan students would be "natural born" citizens.

Since there have been so many inconsistencies in 0bama's birth story and he has never produced anything but fake and photoshopped BCs, my theory is that his "mother", while traveling in Kenya, just picked up a baby.

Obama was ineligible.

His mom was a US citizen. However, to pass that citizenship to her child required that she live in the US continuously for five years after the age of 15.

She lived in Africa and gave birth at age 18, not 20.

Therefore, she could not pass citizenship to Barak assumed his father’s Kenyan citizenship.
