1) It’s very difficult to sue the VA. There are all sorts of obstacles to it. Therefore, nobody is doing anything to anyone’s records as part of avoiding lawsuit. They can’t be sued so there is no point.
2) Of course independent people will tell you you’re care is poor. They are selling their own service. Or more likely, someone asking such a question already had their mind made up and heard whatever they wanted to hear.
3) It’s useful to search out the medical qualifications the VA requires of docs. They are very strict. They pay local average pay level to docs. Docs, because they cannot be sued, don’t have to pay for malpractice insurance. The VA knows this and thus, can select excellent candidates.
