This isn’t about paganism or religion at all. It’s about humanists and transhumanism.
It began in the early 1920’s. They’ve had their own periodical for decades.
Around 1929 The man who advanced it stated that
“he was interested in the development of the science of eugenics, ectogenesis (creating and sustaining life in an artificial environment), and the application of genetics to improve human characteristics, such as health and intelligence.
His article inspired academic and popular interest. J. D. Bernal speculated on the prospects of space colonization and radical changes to human bodies and intelligence through bionic implants and cognitive enhancement. These ideas have been common transhumanist themes ever since.” -—× We are there ×-—
If you pay attention to scientific language you will notice ‘trans’ is used frequently.
It’s not a big leap from trans-man and trans-woman to transhuman.
This isn’t new thinking, here’s an article from 2014 about about ‘cyborgs’ (8 folks who became part of a singularity or one with technology):

That was nearly a decade ago and now technology has advanced into synthetic biology, right down to DNA.
"Who, in their right mind, Kevin, could possibly deny the 20th century was entirely mine? All of it, Kevin!"
Transhumanism is about trying to become your own god. That is part of paganism. Everything about the left is about paganism, in one form or another. They want to create their own reality, so they are not bound to natural law. It’s merely a reiteration of the lie that Satan told in the garden, “Thou shalt not die”.
