There is everything to negotiate.

The problem is the West is intentionally prolonging the conflict to achieve it's own ends, including personal enrichment via graft and corruption and possibly setting the world up for a Chinese invasion Taiwan, while the Ukraine and it's people suffer the devastation of brutal warfare.

The longer the war goes on the more Russia will feel the need to gain from it's ill advised invasion and the longer the war the goes on the more the Ukrainians will have lost from the war and feel the need for more retribution from Russia that Russia will not accept.

Add in Russian mobilization and massive short term infusion of advanced weapons from the West to support Ukraine and we will see a serious escalation and widening of the conflict, which BTW, is happening on Ukrainian territory. God help us if the conflict widens to Russian territory.

Tanks and jets, if used properly, can generate leverage that brings about a cease fire and eventual negotiated settlement. The proposed tanks and jets are not likely to expel the Russians from the Ukraine and the strategy may backfire by forcing the Russians on the offensive before the Ukrainians can actually deploy their new assets.

The only option then is direct NATO intervention, which is where we are heading.

All the good for the West that is coming out of this must be a terrible blow to China, the West has come alive, it’s weapons manufacturing is reinvigorated with new plants and production rates, new battlefield demonstrated successes, new sales to countries that China dreads having these Western weapons replacing the old decrepit Russian stocks, Russia itself being taken out of the equation as far as being any serious assistance for China by tying up a lot of the Western forces.

Russia can’t financially sustain mobilization and this destruction of their military, material that will take decades to rebuild and replace, the longer this goes on and the more drafting, mobilization, and death for Russia, the more the sanctions and losing markets drain their economy, then the more they destabilize internally.

Between the West and Russia in Ukraine, the West is removing the Russian threat for pennies on the dollar, Russia isn’t just tied up in an invasion, they are losing all of their unreplaceable warehoused stocks and equipment, they are looking more and more like Ukraine’s peer rather than the great war machine they were thought to be a year ago.

This helps our nation and our world.
