No idea. But I’m confident if that’s their defense, it won’t help much. I’ve seen drunks put up world class fights with cops...But this suspect was just a punching bag, bad enough to kill him. Even if an existing medical issue was partly the cause of death, getting beat like that would likely trigger it. Even if the suspect had a heart condition, it’s not going to help these cops much. Getting beat like that can be very traumatic and cause the brain to choke itself with stress, shock etc.
He was on his way home from working at fed ex. Here they do drug screens while hiring.
Also most fed ex jobs require good health and lifting tests.
Definitely no felon history allowed.
