I got rid of Spectrum cable last May. Had two Rokus originally for Netflix and Prime, and they worked independently. One was in the living room, and the other in the spare bedroom. When I got rid of Spectrum, I bought two TCL Roku TV’s to take their place. The Rokus were older, and it was time for an upgrade for the old TVs which weren’t smart TV’s.
When we were shopping for solutions for our new house, we found that Spectrum had a service they call TV Choice. You get a standard lineup of channels and you get to pick another ten channels. You cannot change your channel selection once you have picked your ten, so choose carefully.
At the time we signed up for it, it was a “hidden” plan that you only got offered if you threatened to take a hike from them. Then they suddenly dropped that on the table.
It’s a streaming service. You install the Spectrum app on your Roku (or other streaming device) and use it pretty much like Netflix, Amazon Prime or any other streaming service.
It’s about half the price of a full cable TV subscription, too!
