“CODA was a great movie, in my opinion”
The difference between you and me is that I don’t like shows with indecent language or portrayal in them.
The same, cursing is a turn off, as are homosexuals. Seriously, I don’t to see them in a movie.
“The Childrens Hour” 1960s was good. Two roomates, teachers in a fancy boarding school for girls. I think it was Shirley Mclaine, and Audrey Hepburn. The kids started a rumor they were lovers. They were not, but the entire movie they were fighting against the accusations. At the end one of them admitted they were. Well done, and the plot made sense. I can handle that. Not the phony crap they force feed us now.
YES I am that old.
It’s real life, though. It’s an accurate portrayal of the struggles of a failing fishing family, and a woman tasked to interpret for her deaf parents when she wants to move away to college and live her own life.
It’s a great movie, even though it has some vulgarity in it, as do real-life families and situations.
