I would note we are not spending any less on the border -- it's the Biden Admin. policies that are all wrong, drawing illegals in. (Except the Biden Admin. still wants to keep Title 42 in place, we are told, and I support that.)

Look, I'd really prefer some sort of better world where a strong Europe (Moscow included) could solve its own problems without us and not go off the rails every generation or two. I'd prefer a neutral media, too (among many other things I'm sure we agree on).

However, I'm a realist. When it comes to Europe, there is no post Roman Empire evidence that without us as "glue" and part of its defense that a militarily "strong" Europe will do anything but revert to its DNA (or whatever it is). In this century that means they end up in a major nuclear arms race and nuclear war in a generation or so. Short of the US beforehand completely disconnecting itself economically (because most everything else flows from that) from the rest of the world, and maybe quadrupling our defense budget, we'll get hit too. Probably hard.
