You screwed up on the hole. The other end of the cable which is plugged into the base of the satellite dish only requires a 3/4 inch hole. We’ve had startling for almost a year and it beats the socks off of anything else we could have got
My cable doesn’t come off the rectangular antenna they gave me, I would have had to disassemble antenna to get inside where it would have been soldered to the connections, SO I had no choice, I just put a junction box outside and a blank phone jack in the house. It came out just fine
