Saw them in concert my freshman year. They were great. (Though my favorite was Queen!)

We were going to concerts all the time when I was in school. I don’t think my kids have ever been to one!

Hughie Thomason died in Brooksville, FL in 2007. I used to live in Brooksville, but before that time. He was a great performer.

Great band. “Heard it in a Love Song” is one of my favorite songs.

“Desert Skies” is a beautiful song. Used to be a desert rat. Thought of that song often.

“You mean, like, a record player.”

Nope. Like a turntable.

They both play vinyl, but the similarity pretty much ends there.

My turntable was a component part of a complete audio system of separate elements: Amplifier, tuner, tape deck, speakers, etc. All of which came and were purchased separately. I discovered that the sound quality was better with a component system rather than an internally integrated system.

“No doubt hanging out now with Leonard Skinner.”

They may one day be joined by Hootie and his friend, the Blowfish

Seems like in general, those Southern Rockers didn’t live very long, I know all the former members of Molly Hatchet are all gone.

“Last of the Singin’ Cowboys”, “You Say You Love Me”, and “Twenty-four Hours at a Time” are a few of my faves.

He’s the weird one who looks early similar to Marylin Manson.

Wow. I’m a big Marshall Tucker Band fan way back in my teens, but somehow never got around to knowing the back story to the name. This is very interesting. RIP, you infamous legend.
