Nothing defeats the PROS from stealing your car if the want it.
I had a buddy who bought the first H2 Hummer in New England.
Six months later he drove it up to Montreal for a wedding.
Parked it in the secured lot at the Marriott.
When he came back from dinner the Hummer was gone.
He had to rent a car to drive back to NH.
Six months later he got a call one morning at our office from Interpol. He thought someone was screwing with him. No they were very serious.
They had located his Hummer based on the VIN# on the engine block in Cape Town, South Africa. Could he please come down to the FBI building in Boston to give a deposition.
A while back I watched a mini-documentary on stolen cars hidden in shipping containers that were headed overseas.
That’s rough, and all the way to South Africa at that.
I had an H2 for a while. Great truck, and I miss it, even though I learned a lot about what parts of it were great and what weren’t so great. I’d love to get another.
