I didn’t get the vax and I sure didn’t ‘win’.
I begged people not to get it but the CDC’s ‘prestige’ inspired such confidence that they decided to get it. Each injection they got gave me cause to worry about them. Some in such fragile health to begin with. Watching the numbers tick up in ‘bragging’ articles about how many got the vax, seeing food trucks dispensing ‘free food’ and hearing about free donuts or sporting event tickets and wishing the craziness would stop. Reading that children and babies got the vax - no I didn’t ‘win’ and Scott is sick to suggest I was ever ‘in it to win it’.
Nobody won. Everyone I know has someone, usually many, they know that are vaccinated.
Family, friends, etc that you care about that could have medical fallout from the vaccine.
People fired, discharged, lost graduations, proms, friends, childhoods…
Nobody won.
