Three teenage girls were arrested in connection to multiple fights at the Westfield Trumbull mall. Police say a 15-year-old girl was also charged with assaulting an officer after spitting on a trooper.
Officers were called to the Main Street shopping center Saturday night due to multiple reports of a large fight.
When officers arrived, they say they found large crowds of juveniles acting disorderly, loud, and disruptive. Additional officers were called to the mall from other agencies, including state police.
Police say the teenage girls who were arrested are 13, 14, and 15 years old.
All of the teens were charged with breach of peace after refusing to leave the scene of the fight.
The 15-year-old girl was also charged with assault on an officer for spitting on a trooper who was assisting with crowd control.
All three teens were later released to the custody of their guardians with a promise to appear in Bridgeport Juvenile Court on Jan. 24.

In my day, if you spit on a cop you got a mag light or nightstick to the teeth.
Trumbull was a beautiful suburban area as I recall not far from Bridgeport. My cousin bought a goat to clear out a lot of wild vegetation where they were living. The last time I was there the neighborhood was spotless, well kept, and safe.
However, when we went into Bridgeport, which We had been visiting since the 1950s, it looked like a shithole. Democrats ruined some of the most beautiful cities on the East Coast and what we have today is that legacy on steroids.
They destroyed my childhood mall once the bus stop was put in.
One of the first malls in America....

Does that mean the singular is ‘bra’?
Every time

The exact same thing happened to the mall closest to me. It was a wonderful place to shop and to walk - until they put a bus stop at one of the entrances.
The place soon became chaotic. A friend of mine was a cop whose jurisdiction covered the mall. He told me not to visit the mall after 5 PM or on the weekends.
The mall owner eventually wised up, and moved the bus stop. Too late. No stores are open there now. The place an empty, deteriorating ruin.
Funny how one single bus stop could lead to such a result.
Often the mass transit points are necessary for the employees of the stores.
The newest mall in my area (American Dream in the NJ Meadowlands) was completed and unopened for over a decade; finally it was revamped as a mall/theme park combination and opened, though still with a lot of vacancies. They use paid parking as a filter ($5 all day); so far it seems to work.
Are demographics in play here? 🙄
