104 years ago, two Ukrainian states, the Ukrainian People’s Republic (UPR) and the West Ukrainian People’s Republic (WUPR), united. Both states were formed after the collapse of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires, and later decided on the act of unification. A single Ukrainian People’s Republic – from the Black Sea to the Carpathians – appeared on the world map.
