The law is the law, snowflake.

Texas DMV spokesperson said the phrase contains “a common acronym for a vulgar term.” This particular bureaucrat is correct.

You can’t spell TOFU without a “FU”
To: BenLurkin
Seeding a field isn’t vulgar, either.

I’ll have to check back on this thread. If it ends up like the one about the North Carolina LGBT license plates, it could be very amusing.

A dangling fu is sure to fuel the censor’s fury. If they had chosen “TOFULV”, I think it would have passed muster.

Personally I’d be fine if they had no personalized plates, no donation plates, no anything plates.
I renewed my vehicle tags this week (KY) and since I have a black & pearl white Indian Scout I thought I’d get the black coal plate - says “Coal Keeps the Lights On” - which I agree with. But they wanted $44 additional for the plate & I’m already giving the state too much money for the “privilege” of driving.
A thought occurs to me. I wonder when some bureaucrat will come up with the idea to chip plates so we can be tracked?

This happened in Colorado about 5 yrs ago. Same phrase.
I know a guy with the last name of “Stolen”. The DOT wouldn’t allow a plate made with his name.

My wife’s nephew had a Corvette Sting Ray. His license plate was COPTZR.

Years back, a nice-looking, young lady in a red Corvette flew past me with the plate: ILUV2B8.
By the time I figured it out, she was looonnnnnggggg gone.....LOL
