Probability, while jogging, of being attacked by a dog is
far greater than that of being attacked / assaulted / kidnapped by a human.
Joggers need to be armed - chiefly because of dogs. Have jogged (mostly along wooded paths, etc.) for more than 40 years - have never been attacked by a person (they'd have to be crazy!). Have frequently (four or five times) been attacked by dogs.
