CDC flu mapTN looking better almost in the green. Whole nation looks better. Still High in NM, CA, NY, TX, a couple of others.
Kinda sells internet-connected digital thermometers and produces an "Illness Map" down to the county level. They sell the aggregated, anonymized data to schools and businesses to predict absences and demand. I'm surprised the CDC isn't tapping into this fever data (maybe they are). This has to be better data than what doctors collect because there are probably 100 or 1,000 at-home readings for every doctor's office reading.
Here's the map from a minute ago. There is obviously something wrong with the data. Why would illness risk follow the state boundaries so closely? Look at Washington, Oregon, California, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
