I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt and say it is some part of her advocacy work about child abuse or malnutrition.
It is in an office setting and looks to be an important art installation for the office to showcase the problems of children and promote a cause. Likely to remind the workers why that are working there and show supporters what they are giving for.
She said she was not ashamed of the photo and more people need to know more about it( I’m paraphrasing what I quickly read). So she is in full woke crusader mode and only took it down as she got negative press about it.

Yes it’s hella creepy and is in very poor taste and rude to show a child like that, but I’m not her and people she associates with.

I’ve always liked Jamie Lee Curtis and that photo is more likely anti child abuse but still probably not a good choice of wall art.
