Your craft beer is much less than mine. A good IPA cost me at least $10.00 a six pack. But I don’t mind spending a couple of bucks extra if I get double the satisfaction than from a shitty Ying Yang lager!

I've gone to making my wines. Beer brewing is not a money saver. I've gone to buying a keg for beer. The little coolers are out there in used restaurant supply stores for cheap. Neighbors come by with a pitcher and something to barter. Some produce, eggs, cheese, or something of value.

Kegs are about 25% of the cost of bottled or canned beer.

I used to keep beer in an old coke machine in 12 ounce bottles. 80 bottles filled it up. Way too expensive and way too easy to empty it.

Home brewing can definitely be cheaper. There is some time involved, but it’s a hobby. My next is a wheat dunkel. Cost of $45. It has a ton of ingredients. Ugh. I have a case of tripel fermenting. It cost me less than $25. I don’t mind some mass produced beers, but yeah, I’d rather splurge a little for something really good.
