A local poultry farm caught fire a month ago. 250,000 chickens killed and $11m damage. Last week, 18 large eggs cost $8.52. I’m not sure if the sky high prices for eggs are related to this fire.

That was in Lancaster County, IIRC. Here in York, Jumbo Eggs are just over $9.00, and chicken prices have jumped bigtime, too.
