I'd have to see a video of the incident before I form an opinion. Punching a detainee is sometimes justified...but it would have to be a pretty extreme situation.

Yep. If the detainee were armed, then all bets are off. But this woman was unarmed. And her offense was, at most, a misdemeanor. As it appears now, the only felon in this situation is the cop.
