This would be true except that half of our political world does not believe in bad consequences if the ideas are theirs. If there are bad consequences of their actions, they are clearly someone else fault.

if you increased prison funding and had judges who would put away for years persons with long rap sheets, sure you could defund police but pick 2 of 3
