Tuna are awful big fishes. Don't know if they still do, but Japanese trading companies used to employ agents in Florida and Hawaiian ports who would snap a first class photo of big tuna catches and offer cash on the spot.
Within hours, the tuna would be frozen and on a flight to Japan.
