Is there a perverse incentive to “attribute” a death to COVID to get the $9,000 from the feds? Sure, of course there is. Will they spontaneously call someone and say “Hey, could you change this cause of death (somehow) and we’ll pay you $9,000?” No, no they will not.

Go read the piece. There are key ellipses and little vague allusions that stop just short of outright lies of commissions. They want you to think that FEMA is flipping through death certificates and asking the relations of deceased to “change the cause of death to COVID”. That’s retarded for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which is that you, as an individual relative, have no power at all to change the cause of death.

Obviously, the most likely story here is this bereaved father, for whom we all have a lot of sympathy, applied for the FEMA COVID funeral benefits, but listed the vax, rather than COVID as the cause of death.

Believe what you want. But FR didn’t used to be so gullible.
