Ha, I’ve never understood the attraction to any Beatles music. Same for my wife, and especially in this case, because any high pitched voice coming from a male singer is not to be listened to at all.
The word you use that is telling is “understood.” I’m sure that there were people who didn’t “understand” Bach. Your post reflects on you, not on the music that will be around for another 500 years. My experience with people who claim they don’t like the Beatles is that they have never listened to the Beatles.
