Starring: Sheila MacRae, Art Carney, Jackie Gleason, Joyce Randolph, Audrey Meadows, Jean Kean
Summary: Ralph tries to learn how to play golf to impress his boss, and of course the situation turns into a disaster.
Alice and Norton were the stars...”classic” doesn’t even *begin* to describe those 39 episodes.
Art Carney was so freakin’ funny it almost makes up for the Star Wars Holiday special.
Almost.
There must be something wrong with me then, because I love the Honeymooners and P.G. Wodehouse, and when golf is the center of the story in either case, it gets a lot less interesting.
Truly inspired work.
Hadn’t watched the scene in a long time. Was struck by how much they looked/moved like Laurel and Hardy.
I remember, as a young kid, seeing this episode in reruns years ago. It was hilarious then, and it still is. And I don’t golf.
thanx.
Sheila MacRae ? not in the Classic Honeymooners and not til 1966
Hello, ball.
Did the two actresses who played "Alice Kramden" (Audrey Meadows during the 1950s, and Sheila MacRae during the revival in the 1960s) and the two actresses who played "Trixie Norton" (Audrey Meadows during the 1950s, and Jean Kean during the revival) really all appear in that season 5 episode?!
Incredible!
