I certainly wouldn’t drive a golf cart through birds, but with that said I read this article and in typical fashion to choose sides. The sides: “Florida Man” vs. Fish and Wildlife, aka, Big Government. I asked if Florida Man injured any birds, sort of a no harm, no fowl (sic) rule. One the other side of the ring we have a state agency full of itself with power to ruin human lives. That needs to be restrained. Who would you choose, Andy Taylor or Barney Fife? Andy would calmly give a warning, while telling a story Florida Man might remember. Barney would grab for his one bullet, ready to fire. Government is overly power hungry, while being bumbling idiots like Barney. We need more Andys.
True, but even more so God didn't have in mind murdering the unborn by the millions while protecting birds.
The embryo not being granted the status of personhood, nor is the value placed upon it which is afforded to eggs of most birds in most cases.
Most bird nests are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA). This law says: “No person may take (kill), possess, import, export, transport, sell, purchase, barter, or offer for sale, any migratory bird, or the parts, nests, or eggs of such bird except as may be permitted under the terms of a valid permit...” Under the MBTA it is illegal to destroy a nest that has eggs or chicks in it or if there are young birds that are still dependent on the nest for survival. It is also illegal for anyone to keep a nest they take out of a tree or find on the ground unless they have a permit issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). - https://www.fws.gov/migratorybirds/pdf/education/educational-activities/BirdNestsR8.pdf
