It was a shock introduction to their own mortality. He was the same age or not much older than most of his screaming fans back in the day. He was born 88 years ago, and if not for his poor choices, could very well still be alive.
I know you were kidding. No, the owner, Carl Allen, died and the place was auctioned off piecemeal. I had moved there in 86 to start a business and Allen’s was a great place to unwind on Thursday nights. Lots of good ol’ toe tappin’ music. I played, so had tons of fun. Carl gave free meals to anyone who played on stage. That is, if you liked deep fried catfish, rattlesnake, gator and the like. Lots of women in the clogging groups and such. Life was good. Reagan was prez. Clinton and Obama were bad dreams of the future. Dire Straits was cranking.. As I say, life was good.
I still have the Stars and Stripes newspaper from the day reporting his death. I also have the Times for 911.

Gladys had hepatitis..she also was a drinker.
Elvis was drug abuser
Lisa Marie was drug abuser also.
They all had enough grief and did not weather it well....

You mean to say, the coroner, said Elvis died of natural, causes Elvis die, because he was obese and he was a pill junkie. He had so many different pills in his system. It was amazing he was able to function.

All the opiates stopped his natural bowel movements. that left Elvis full of sht ...like 40# worth in his lower colon according to the autopsy.. Plus Heart disease and he was over 300#. Another speculation was all this was brought on by TBI he received on a movie set when he tripped and conked himself hitting his head on a bathtub.

It is amazing to me that you will go to any length to defend the sacred experimental vaccines. Elvis's heart stopped but it was attributed by the doctors who examined his body to his addiction to prescription barbiturates.

I saw a documentary a year so ago about the genetic element. Very interesting and convincing. I had thought about LMP at the time I saw it. Sad.
I think there is a thing called “The 27 Club”
or something like that for celebrities who died at that age.
Interesting!... aside from that, it’s cool that you got to experience that piece of our history. I came of that age in the “Disco Sucks!” t-shirt era.
