LOL, even still...the concept is the same.
I do have occasions where I give a tip when I am getting takeout. There is a Chinese food place I have been going for years, and they make an unbelievably good Traditional Chicken with peanuts, hot red peppers, water chestnuts, garlic, and ginger in some kind of brown sauce. I ask for extra spicy, with no scallions.
When I order it through this one guy, he knows exactly how to get it made for me. It always comes out right.
When he isn’t there, and I have to try to order it with someone else, no matter how I try to describe it, I always get Kung Pao chicken, which I like, but is a completely different dish. (the one I order is called “traditional” kung pao chicken, but all I ever get is...regular kung pao chicken.
I always tip that guy, give him five bucks in cash. Always, even if the entree is just mine and costs $15. Because it is damn well worth it!
I gave up trying to order from other people. I ask for him, and if he isn’t there...I simply don’t get food there.
Get the guy who knows what you want to write your order down for you. The next time you come in and your guy isn’t there, show them that piece of paper. It worked for me when a waiter came up with a dish for me during a time when I was having multiple food reactions. He wrote the “recipe” down for me on company notepaper so that any waiter seeing it knew what I wanted.
