WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow highlights the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame class.
The two-time national champion and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner was among 18 players elected Monday.
Tebow became the first sophomore to ever win college football's top individual honor, awarded to the most outstanding player.

good. someplace Tim could shine without the NFL owners persecuting him.
“Kyle Trask was pretty decent, heisman finalist, still in the NFL drawing a paycheck.”
He got playing time last Sunday.
“Jacoby Brissette.”
I had to look that one up!
Tim caught a lot of grief for praying on the field. Coaches have been fired for silent prayer on the field. After the Bill's game, they actually said a prayer on the air, on ESPN.
The statement that we haven’t had a decent QB at UF since Tebow is partially correct, with Trask being the lone exception.
However, when Will Muschamp took over at UF, people tend to forget the QB room he inherited.
John Brantley - 5-star recruit, originally committed to Texas and rated #1 drop back QB in the country.
Jeff Driskel - 5-star recruit, rated #1 dual purpose QB in the country. Still in the NFL drawing a pack check.
Jacoby Brissette - 4-star recruit, transferred to NC State and starred, still in the NFL and started quite a few games.
Tyler Murphy - 3-star recruit, started and played well before transferring to Boston College and starting, made practice squad for the Steelers.
With proper coaching, one or more of those QBs should have been a star at UF.
IMO, Muschamp is the single biggest waster of offensive talent in the history of college football.
In further news, Mark Richt was inducted also. Couldn’t happen to nicer human being.
Tim Tebow was a great college player and allowed to actually play and stay in the NFL would have been a good NFL QB. The powers that be could not allow a super influential Christian stay in the NFL limelight.
Also sad that Stetson Bennett will never be in the College Hall of Fame because he was never selected as an All-American. Being selected as an All American College player is a required element to be considered for the College Football Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to Tim!
Go Gators! Chomp, chomp!
“The statement that we haven’t had a decent QB at UF since Tebow is partially correct, with Trask being the lone exception.”
It was flat out wrong.
Yes to clarify, the talent was there, but we had terrible coaches coaching them. Mullen wasn’t any better. He pretty much ruined AR so he couldn’t be effective this year, with Napier.

First Team All American
From a recruiting standpoint, Muschamp took over a fantastic amount of talent, more than any coach could hope for and proceeded to ruin all of it.
Brantley graduated, Driskel, Brissette, and Murphy all transferred and became stars elsewhere.
Remember Derrick Henry was a Gator Fan and Muschamp did not recruit him as an RB, thought he was to slow, all he did was win a Heisman in college and put-up Hall of Fame numbers as a Pro.
I no longer partake in the gladiator exhibitions but my congrats to this gentleman.

To be fair, Muschamp had only one year with Brantley.
And how did Muschamp use him, the day Muschamp was introduced as the HC, he said the Gators were going to be a power downhill running football team, I knew that day we were in trouble.
The problem was, his RB room was Demps, Rainey, and McCaslin, not exactly a power RB trio.
But he did have a potential star as a passing QB, a number of WRs that were on the team went on to play in the NFL.
A complete waste of talent.
Then how were Kurt Warner and Reggie White allowed to play?
Surprised.
He is after all a devout Christian
Tim got grief for stuff he said off the field, mostly.
Your selective amnesia is amusing.
Prayer circles happen every Saturday and Sunday, and even on some Friday nights. And they have been happening for a long, long time.
