I am not a fan of the royal family, but I would guess they are aware of his emotional/mental issues and her oppurtunistic manipulation of a distressed man.
Agree. It reminds me, a bit, of the movie House of Gucci. The woman who married the son was a manipulative bitch. The son was weak. Meghan could give her a run for her money -- or, "hold my beer".
