That is true. Many people do not know that centuries ago, physicians were known as the “magicians” of their day. They were not trusted and used what was called “magic potions” for their healing arts. Most people used the natural medicines of their local “healing woman” instead of calling the physician. Now people think of the healing woman as historically the one with the “magical potions”. However, she was usually the one with the true natural plant and herb cures with healing powders and mixture recipes that hand been handed down in her family for generations. And, hospitals were known as the place to go when there was no other options and it was assumed you were going to die.
