That list is right up there with the “Rock and Roll” Hall of Fame.
Billie Elish is better than Ellie Mae Morse, or Helen Forrest or a whole host of other great females singers of decades past. I guess there is no such thing as the past for Rollling Stone Magazine...then again, I dumped my subscription when they left Sf for New York so Jann Werner can blow snow with the best of the hoity toities...
Kinda. The drawback to Dylan is his inspiration to other bad singers, but he did inspire some great song writing in others.
To be fair, despite Rolling Stone’s typical Leftist irrationality and emotionality in making the list, they do point out that originality and influence on pop music and the overall culture are key factors, and that it not a list of best voices.
Did the artist change pop music? Some on the list did, but many did not.
In all fairness, vocalists are rated very differently from instrumentalists.
Lol.. His voice reminds me of sandpaper on a phonograph :D
“Teenager wins Bob Dylan soundalike contest. Sadly, his identity has remained a mystery since no one can understand what he says.”
Rumor has it it was young Tom Petty.
Whatever rocks your boat, but I should hope that these people be more concerned about the attack upon their fundamental liberties than some RS publicity stunt. (Wouldn’t be surprised if Dion were left off the list precisely to spark this protest.)
Maybe if we could order Fakebook and Twatter to ban any reference to Celine Dion these morons would start to worry about censorship.
Celine Dion is an annoying singer.
