The Bond franchise should be retired. The original Bond in Fleming’s fiction was a WWII veteran. The creative geniuses of Hollywood ought to be able to dream up an appropriate MI6 replacement!

vesper got pregnant... Bond has a son AND a daughter...
one is m
one is q and the non vesper bastard of a son... is 007.

or something like that.
they are all three woke.
they fail in their missions.

they end up in an australian lock down prison for some biowar weapon exposure and are only let out for use as blunt instrument suicide squad members who die off in a trilogy of new episodes.... or get cancelled in social media and doxxed...

who knows

I would love to see a new Bond series start in the mid-1950s and work its way up to the “Swingin’ ‘60s,” as Fleming’s books did. Setting the series in that period would be a bonanza for creative writing, production design, photography, costuming, you name it. The actors would probably love playing in a “period piece” as well. It would be fun to see the development and return of some of Q’s gadgets (Little Nellie, anyone? The original Aston Martin DB5?), and the evolution of continuing characters like M and Moneypenny. The occasional cameo appearance of a young Queen Elizabeth and / or Prince Phillip would be, as they say, smashing. If handled well, with good stories and kinetic action, I think audiences would really flock to something like this.
