The Mexican army have captured Ovidio Guzmán, an alleged major fentanyl trafficker and son of kingpin Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzmán.
Wild scenes erupted in Sinaloa as news of the arrest spread through the city, just days before U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to make his first visit to Mexico.
Mexican authorities have accused the younger Guzmán of being a key figure in fentanyl trafficking - a synthetic drug blamed for tens of thousands of deaths in the United States.
Gunfire and car-jackings have been reported in the city as word spread of Guzmán's arrest.
Mayor Juan de Dios Gamez confirmed on Twitter that federal armed forces have been carrying out an operation in Culiacán since dawn on Thursday and that this has prompted violence in the city and other parts of the state.
'We ask the citizens of Culiacán not to leave home due to the blockades that have occurred in different parts of the city,' he said.

One less welcoming committee member …….
What a coincidence.
Sinaloa is one of the 31 states which comprises the Federal Entities of Mexico and is divided into 18 municipalities. Its capital city is Culiacán Rosales.
It’s also home to the Sinaloa Cartel which has significantly influenced the culture of the region.
The cartel is reportedly the largest drug trafficking, money laundering and organized crime syndicate in the Americas and based in the city of Culiacán.
Wonder if the cartel intends …… and further wonder if there is a U.S. set-up in the works
Start with Chapo Jr. and his close associates.........
El Chapocito...

That means it was a set up drama to be followed by the escape of ‘Son of El Chapo’ shortly after Biden stumbles back aboard AF-1.
Actually Oviedo will soon star in his own Nerflix bio-pic docudrama directed by James Cameron in which his sensitive sde will emphasized
Friend of Hunter?

Mexico’s gun laws are rather strict. And of course only the decent folks obey them.
So a good first step would be to give Mexico something like our 2A. It would be a bit harder for a cartel to terrorize a village when everyone in the village is carrying a weapon.
Good thoughts but who in those villages can afford the going price for modern weapons such as an AR-15?
And how is it that the Mafia was able to control the streets of Chicago, New York and in New Jersey when they did have the advantage of the 2nd Amendment?
Guzman must have missed a bribery payment.
The airport problems extend to Mazatlan.
I am a volunteer and avail 24/7/365 to be a trigger puller in the executions of these dogs. Just let me know. You’ll pick up my expenses of course.
Personally, I feel a public hanging would send a much stronger message. In that case I volunteer to be a lever puller.
- a synthetic drug blamed for tens of thousands of deaths in the United States -
ANNUALLY. why isn’t that included in the above sentence?
not clicking on the link, but it appears doubtful China providing the precursor chemicals for fentany is mentioned.
Street drugs of any kind are super dangerous today. Any who are fooled to think otherwise are playing Russian roulette equally as dangerous as with a gun...probably even more.
