“After months of fierce battle in Bakhmut, the Wagner group head has opened up on why Russia is still unable to take over the area.

Strong Ukrainian resistance and an extensive network of defensive fortifications is likely exhausting Russia’s Wagner fighters. In an interview to RIA Novosti, Wagner boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that his troops in Bakhmut are fighting “several weeks for a single house”.

Prigozhin has said that fighting in Bakhmut was difficult as Ukrainian forces have turned “each house into a fortress”.

Some of the fighters in the video reportedly complained that they lack ammunitions, shells, and armoured vehicles.
