Isn't there a statue of limitations? That's 64 years ago!!

From the last sentence of the article:

"The filing came just before the Dec. 31 expiration of a California law that temporarily suspended the statute of limitations on older claims of child sexual abuse."

I think it was a temporary law enacted by California intended for victims of Harvey Weinstein.

Yep. The same suspension of statute of limitations that was used in the recent lawsuit against Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, accused of sexual assault of a 16-year old girl back in the 1970s.
