It’s a no brainer at this point. You pick the guy that can unite the party. George Washington didn’t want to serve either. McCarthy will just bring years of turmoil and a loss of the house in 2024. If Jordan doesn’t like it he can always step down after he develops a worthy successor. The Judiciary committee is worthless. What have we gotten out of all the investigations but sound bites. We don’t control the DoJ so the House investigations do nothing. “What difference at this point does it make?” And Cankles was right. They need to focus on things they can control. I’m really proud of this process by the Republicans though. Finally a real debate and fight rather than just handing over money like a holdup victim.

I’ve been saying that sentiment for years on end, every time the GOPe sticks a RINO in there they lose the house as quick as they came in as they simply provide half the uniparty. The party needs to divorce itself from RINOism if it seeks to avoid extinction.

And if one wonders why the ‘red wave’ never materialized this is it.
