Just out of curiosity, and with you being a doc and all, any thoughts on whether or not an NFL physical would catch subclinical myocarditis?

An ekg would catch it. I would have a hard time believing that these guys don’t have an echo each season. Reasonable question. I am sure we can both agree to offer prayers for him. I have a colleague who was officiating an arena game years ago. Same thing. Player died. The referee never stepped foot on the field again.

Prayers up. I have a bad feeling. Asked on coverage that he has passed. He probably is being cooled at the hospital. Deliberate hypothermia is neuroprotective. If reports are correct he had pulse after Defib. It comes down to quality of cpr are time to defibrillation.
