When Mike Judge made Idiocracy in 2003, he wanted footwear that would be worn by idiots 500 years in the future. He had no idea that Crocs would become a thing. He didn't want shoes what would date the movie, and figuered they'd never be mainstream. He overestimated the taste of the U.S. public.

When I see adults wearing them, it's hard not to laugh.

I get a lot of smiles and "hey those are cool" comments. I have Seahawks crocs, glittery crocs, patriotic crocs, flowered, tie dye and just about every color (except never orange or white).... I am ready for any occasion.

I'm 71 years old and wear what makes me comfortable.

They are convenient and fairly comfortable.

However, they are only for the occasional quickmrun outside in the summer or shower at camp.

Overpriced, but cheaply made plastic crap. Not just for 10 year old girls, they are for idiots of both sexes and all ages.

And the fumes are toxic when burned.

I knew a woman that wore a pair of the for a while. She said that even if sh wore them for a short period of time when she took them of her feet were filthy. I’ve heard similar store from other people.
Who would want to wear plastic shoes?

I never found then worth a look. However, I saw the OR nurses wearing them. And those folks were on their feet for a long, long time without a break.
