

I went to see the bullets play the celtics, saw Manute Bol from a distance get out of his car. It was like one of those tall thin modern art statues come to life, fold itself out of the car and walk into a stadium entrance. I walked up to check the car out, it was a BMW with the front seat taken out, he drove from the back. It was a manual transmission too.

IIRC he was known to stand along the road with a sign asking for donations to support Sudan.
