My Dad worked for AA starting right after the WWII and while at PKB He was the “everything” employee ranging from Ticket Counter to engine start watch and everything in between. One flight was about to leave when some guy that had been drinking while waiting for the flight came running out to the Aircraft just as Engine 1 spun up. Dad was on the Fire Extinguisher and tackled the guy about 15’ from the spinning prop.
Holy smokes. Wow. What a great thing to have your head screwed on straight and be able to save the life of someone in the moment because of it.
